Last updated: October 21, 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using CatCaster (“we,” “our,” or “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the service.
2. Use License
Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the materials (information or software) on CatCaster's website for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:
- modify or copy the materials;
- use the materials for any commercial purpose, or for any public display (commercial or non-commercial);
- attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on CatCaster's website;
- remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials; or
- transfer the materials to another person or “mirror” the materials on any other server.
3. User Accounts
When you create an account with us, you must provide information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account on our Service.
You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Service and for any activities or actions under your password, whether your password is with our Service or a third-party service.
4. Content
Our Service allows you to post, link, store, share and otherwise make available certain information, text, graphics, videos, or other material (“Content”). You are responsible for the Content that you post to the Service, including its legality, reliability, and appropriateness.
5. Media Storage and Retention Policy
CatCaster stores full-resolution source media (images, audio, and video files) to facilitate active drafting, editing, and publishing operations across your social channels.
Retention Lifecycles: Full-resolution source media is retained according to your workspace subscription tier:
- Free Tier: Source media files are retained for thirty (30) days from creation or publication. After 30 days, original files are permanently deleted.
- Paid Tiers: Source media files receive extended retention (sixty (60) days in primary storage, or up to three hundred sixty-five (365) days when archival storage is active for the workspace).
Permanent Deletion of Expired Media: Once a media file reaches its scheduled deletion deadline, the original heavy binary is permanently and irreversibly purged from our storage systems. You are solely responsible for keeping independent local backups of any original assets you wish to retain permanently.
Preservation of Post History: Even after original source media files are purged, published post records, captions, text history, analytics, and lightweight preview thumbnails are preserved in your workspace history.
Subscription Downgrades: When a workspace downgrades to a Free tier, existing uploaded media is granted a fourteen (14) day retention grace period, after which standard Free tier retention schedules apply. Upgrading to a paid tier extends retention for any media that has not already expired.
Archive Restoration (Where Applicable): For workspaces with cold archival features enabled, retrieving media from deep archive requires a technical restoration window (typically up to twelve (12) hours) before temporary download access is provisioned.
6. YouTube
If you connect a YouTube channel, you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's collection and use of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. CatCaster uses the YouTube Data API to identify your channel, display statistics and comments, and upload videos only when you publish or schedule them.
7. Links To Other Web Sites
Our Service may contain links to third-party web sites or services that are not owned or controlled by CatCaster.
CatCaster has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third party web sites or services. You further acknowledge and agree that CatCaster shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such web sites or services.
8. Text Messages
Altronica LLC operates CatCaster. If you opt in, Altronica LLC texts one-time sign-in codes for the CatCaster app to the mobile number you provide. Message frequency varies with how often you sign in or request a code. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. Consent to receive these messages is not a condition of purchase. The opt-in form is at catcaster.com/sms and in account settings. How we handle that number is described in the Privacy Policy. CatCaster does not send marketing texts.
9. Changes
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material we will try to provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
10. Contact Us
