What's New in CatCaster — October 2026
A month of shipping: a native Android app, a public API and MCP server, AI video, a unified inbox, a smarter calendar, and CatCaster in four languages.
The last thirty days were the busiest stretch in CatCaster's history: more than 700 commits between September 7 and October 7. Some of it is plumbing you will never see. Most of it changes how you plan, write, publish, and answer your audience.
Here is what shipped.

CatCaster in your pocket: Android and iOS
CatCaster now has a native Android app, built for phones, with light system bars, Play Store listing assets, and Google Play Billing so you can subscribe straight from the store.
On iOS, the App Store build became a focused companion app. Capture an idea, approve drafts, and publish at an exact time without opening a laptop. In-app subscriptions are live (Studio is offered monthly on the App Store), and the onboarding, voice, and capture flows were reworked end to end.
Both apps share the same workspace as the web dashboard. Anything you approve on your phone shows up on the calendar right away.
A public API, an MCP server, and the automation tools you already use
This month CatCaster opened up to the rest of your stack:
- Public REST API with an OpenAPI contract and OAuth scopes, so a token only gets the access you grant it.
- MCP server so AI assistants can draft, schedule, and upload media in your workspace. We published setup guides for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex, and Grok.
- Outbound webhooks, managed from a new developer settings screen, so your systems hear about drafts, schedules, and publishes the moment they happen.
- A TypeScript SDK, now in its own public open-source repo.
- n8n, Zapier, and Make integrations, each in its own repository.

AI video and smarter images
Posts with video get more reach on almost every network, so we built video generation into the composer. You can generate a short clip from a prompt or animate an existing image, then pick it from the new video picker.
Images got better too:
- Per-platform AI images, so the Instagram square and the LinkedIn landscape can differ.
- A regenerate button on proposal preview images when the first result misses.
- Cropping, drag-to-reorder for attached media, and full-screen preview.
- A workspace setting for how AI backgrounds are generated.
One inbox for every conversation
The new unified inbox collects comments and messages from Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube in one queue. Each thread has status tracking, and AI-suggested replies use your brand voice, so answering ten comments takes a minute instead of ten. Optional auto-responses cover the repetitive questions.
A calendar that knows when to post
The calendar picked up a lot this month:
- Best posting times: hourly windows in week view, and every hour in day view colored by how well it performs for you.
- A workspace timezone setting replaces the old dual UTC/EDT clocks, and notifications now fire at the time you scheduled.
- A week start setting, with headers that stay aligned to it.
- Click a scheduled post to reschedule it, open its preview, or send it back to drafts without leaving New Posts.
- Day view now scrolls through all 24 hours.
If you are new to scheduling in CatCaster, our scheduling guide covers the basics.
The New Posts engine
New Posts is where CatCaster suggests what to publish next. This month it got:
- Publishing plans that set how often you post and in what content mix, with a guided setup.
- Templates to start a batch of posts from a proven format.
- Better proposals. Find New Posts now picks up knowledge and research you have not used yet, stops proposing reposts of your own channel posts, and lets you edit a post right in the preview.
- A Competitors page under Knowledge, so the AI knows who you are positioning against.
These all build on Voice Profiles, which keep every draft sounding like you.
CatCaster speaks your language
The dashboard, calendar, inbox, publishing plan, Knowledge pages, and settings are now fully translated into English, Spanish, Russian, and Ukrainian. Each brand can also have its own content language, so a Spanish-language brand and an English one can share a workspace.
Analytics you can trust
Analytics now shows real post metrics and follower counts pulled from each network, not placeholders. Facebook post insights use Meta's current media view metrics. Metric collection also stopped retrying expired Instagram Stories, which keeps daily syncs fast.
Security, privacy, and speed
Behind the scenes:
- A full security pass closed gaps in authentication, row-level security, and OAuth, and CI now runs the complete test suite on every change.
- Region-aware cookie consent controls when Google Analytics loads, and the privacy policy now spells out exactly what we collect.
- A round of performance work made the dashboard faster, with leaner analytics queries and faster media delivery from our image CDN.
- Unit and end-to-end test coverage now spans web, iOS, and Android.
Coming next
Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram, Discord, Slack, Reddit, Google Business Profile, Pinterest publishing, and more are already wired in behind feature flags. So are blog publishing to Dev.to, Hashnode, and Listmonk. We will roll them out once each passes real-world testing. Follow this blog for the announcement.
